‘A Hero’ wins 5 nominations at Chlotrudis Awards

Iranian feature ‘A Hero’ has received five nominations at the 28th Chlotrudis Awards in the US.

‘A Hero’, directed by Asghar Farhadi, was nominated in five categories, namely Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Performance by an Ensemble Cast.

Farhadi's feature is about Rahim, a divorced man who has been imprisoned due to unpaid debt. During a two-day leave, Rahim tries to prove that he is a good person.

The movie is starring Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh and Fereshteh Sadr-Orafaee.

‘A Hero’ was awarded the Grand Prix at the 74th Cannes Film Festival in France.

It also grabbed three awards at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in the US.

The Chlotrudis Awards are given by the Chlotrudis Society for Independent Film.

The winners of the awards will reportedly be announced on March 20.
